Scholarships Programme
RECRUITING NOW for January start!
A unique career development opportunity for people who value people
At Caer Las Cymru we believe in learning through experience. We also value the different views and experiences that people bring to our work. We are pleased, therefore, to offer a unique, groundbreaking and fully funded opportunity to gain the experience, skills, confidence and qualifications needed to begin a rewarding career working with people. This opportunity is part-funded by the European Social Fund.
If you feel you have the interest, energy and commitment needed to work with marginalised or excluded people, and are keen to learn, then we are keen to meet you. Previous experience or qualifications are not necessary, although an ability and willingness to study at Further and Higher Education level is required. In particular, the role requires the emotional maturity to build positive relationships, based on equality and learning together, with people who are marginalised or excluded.
A 12-month minimum commitment to the programme is expected. Based in Swansea, the programme offers the following package:
- A full-time programme (35 hours per week) combining learning through experience with study and training
- A bursary allowance equivalent to £100 per week
- Generous study breaks
- Free accommodation, shared with other students, including all running costs
- Free course fees, study materials and training
- Support with accessing employment or further learning opportunities on successful completion of the programme
For an application form, or for further information, please contact us by telephone or email. As we anticipate a high demand for a limited number of places, you are strongly advised to register your interest in the scheme at the earliest opportunity.
