Keynote Speaker: 'Training Learning & Regeneration – The Role of the Third Sector' – Sonia Reynolds, Regional Director South West Wales for the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) and Department of Economy and Transport (DE&T). Sonia's role also includes the pan Wales policy responsibility for Transformation – post 16. Previously her roles have included Director/CEO of; Dysg (prior to and immediately post merger into the Welsh Assembly Government on 1st April 2006), the Valleys Initiative for Adult Education, Wales Access Unit, Higher Education Development Wales and the Credit and Qualification Framework for Wales Project. She has served on the FEFCW and NCETW / Elwa Councils, the Board of UfI UK, the Wales New Deal Task Force and the Independent Review of Student Hardship and Funding, and Higher Education Student Fees (Rees Reviews). She is has been until very recently an active voluntary Board Member in two Community Development Charities
