The Queens Award for Voluntary Service
Nominate by 30th September 2012 to be in with a chance of receiving the Award in 2013.
The Queen's Awards for Voluntary Service are the highest awards given to volunteer groups across the UK for outstanding work. This year, Swansea based Cruse Bereavement Care are one of only 4 Welsh charities to receive the Award.
You can nominate any volunteer group if you know about the work they do. However, you can't nominate a group that you are a part of, for example if you are a volunteer or a staff member. You can nominate a group at any time, but if you wish to make sure your group is considered for an award in the following year, your nomination must be received by 30th September.
If your organisation would like help with the nomination process, please contact Carol Green at SCVS on 01792 544001 or email: carol_green@scvs.org.uk
For more information or to nominate, visit: www.direct.gov.uk/qavs or call: 020 7271 6206.
