Gift Aid registration surgery - five simple steps to Gift Aid
NEW DATE -Friday 9th September 2011, 10.00am - 12.00pm
Limited spaces are available...book your place now!
Following the “Tax effective giving changes for charities in 2011 budget” which was reported on in our ebulletin, we have arranged to host the following surgery. Some of the changes announced in the budget require organisations to be registered to claim Gift Aid for up to three years before they can take advantage of the new proposals, so if your organisation is not registered already, this could be a good opportunity to start using the scheme.
This session will look at the process of registering for and claiming Gift Aid in five simple steps and it will also cover the changes following on from the 2011 budget.
The session will cover information on how to …
Register with HMRC to claim Gift Aid
Encourage your donors to complete Gift Aid declarations
Maintain appropriate records
Make a claim for Gift Aid
Promote Gift Aid
Ensure your organisation complies with relevant legislation and best practice
Know where to go for further information, help and advice
These sessions are aimed at charities and amateur sports clubs which are not already registered with HMRC to claim Gift Aid, but may also be useful to those already registered but who want to ensure that they are claiming on everything to which they are entitled.
