Understand the action to be taken and procedures to be followed in the event of an emergency, including: artificial ventilation, CPR, management of an unconscious casualty, recognition of shock, management of bleeding and fractures and treatment of burns.
The course instructor will assess the competence of individual participants throughout the course and certificates will be issued on completion of the necessary tasks. Certificates are valid for three years.
