SWANSEA COUNCIL FOR VOLUNTARY SERVICE is seeking to appoint a full time:

Swansea Community Cohesion Co-ordinator

To be responsible for:

Working with partners to achieve the overall aims and objectives of “Getting On Together – A Community Cohesion Strategy for Wales”, with the purpose of enabling local partnerships to pump prime cohesion work in local communities to support the implementation of the Community Cohesion Strategy and to strengthen links between local authority, Community Safety Partnership and Communities First Partnerships in the area. To both align this Cohesion work and develop it under the National “Prevent Framework”.

Salary: SCP 34 £28,270

This post is funded initially until 31 March 2011. The post holder will be seconded to the Community Safety Partnership, which will be responsible for the direction of the work and be based in the Partnership offices at Cockett Police Station.
