The Social Inclusion Strategy supports key priorities of the Local Authority such as child poverty, young people not in employment or education and economic inactivity etc by providing a strategic and cohesive approach to the Local Authority's work in the diverse and wide ranging area of social inclusion and anti-poverty work through three objectives to support the achievement of the overall aim to:
"Ensure that all residents, regardless of their socio-economic status, have equal access to the necessary services and opportunities provided by it and its partners".
The Strategy is open for consultation until 31st March 2010.
