Unfortunately, due to end of Funding, SCVS are no longer able to publish the popular Iechyd Da magazine, which covered Health, Social Care and Well-Being issues in the area.
Instead, we will be building related news into our core publications - so here on the main SCVS website, on www.swanseasthirdsector.com, in our monthly E-bulletin and in Sector 3 our quarterly magazine.
Current information which may be of interest is below, with links to the relevant sections of the SCVS website at the bottom of this page:

Stakeholder Reference Group - Third Sector Representatives
As you may be aware, the CVC's in Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot and Swansea have been asked to find representatives for the ABMU Health Board's Stakeholder Reference Group (SRG). We believed initially that the best way to select Third Sector Representatives would be via a nomination and election process at the Third Sector HSCWB Regional Network.
Although we have some nominations via the network, we are still struggling to find representatives from the following equality dimensions:
-
Substance Misuse
-
Mental Health
-
Sexual Orientation
-
Race/Ethnicity
-
Faith/Belief
-
Gender
-
Learning Disability
We have therefore decided to approach a range of voluntary sector organisations directly, to encourage you to put yourselves forward! The representative can either be a Third Sector Representative, Service User or Carer. Please find the nomination form, Third Sector job description and Stakeholder Reference Group (SRG) Terms of Reference again for your information.
If you would like further information then please do not hesitate to contact Amy Meredith, Health Social Care and Well Being Facilitator on 01792 544028 or via email to amy_meredith@scvs.org.uk
HealthVision Swansea Stakeholder Event - RESCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER - Further details TBC
As you may be aware there is a programme of improvements planned to take place at Morriston Hospital. It is important that the views of people and community groups using health services at Morriston are fed into this development process.
This event will be a follow up to the stakeholder workshop that was held in October 2009. The purpose of this workshop will be for the HealthVision Swansea team to provide an update on the progress of the programme.
