'Charities' information: where lies the public interest?'
The Charity Commission for England and Wales is holding a public meeting on Thursday 26th May at Court Colman Manor, Pen-y-fai, Bridgend, CF31 4NG from 10am to 3pm.
This is the first of a new style of public meeting, concentrating on one of the most important strategic issues facing us as regulator. The event aims to broaden our understanding of what others feel the public interest in charities is, and how the provision of information can not only make charities more transparent, but also influence the behaviour of charities and the public, in order to protect and promote trust and confidence.
The event will give all attendees the chance to participate in what should be a genuine and stimulating debate about the issues, as well as the opportunity to hear the latest news on the Commission's strategic review, activities in Wales and discuss issues generally with members of our Board and senior management and Newport teams.
If you wish to attend, please send your request by email to openboardmeeting@charitycommission.gsi.gov.uk including your full name, address and telephone number. Please also include any special needs requirements, such as sight, hearing or mobility access.
