Discovery Student Volunteering Swansea - Position of Non-Student Trustee
We are currently looking for a person to fill the role of non-student trustee. This position would allow you to take a more active role in the direction of Discovery, in its future planning and fundraising strategies.

We are looking for someone who has an interest in the voluntary work that we do and who can commit time to overseeing and directing this work. You will sit on the Board of Trustees, a group of both students and non-student trustees, who meet twice termly. The non-student trustees are made up of both community and university representatives. Ideally you will know the organisation, its aims and objectives, whether as an associate, service user or parent. Training will be offered to support this.
We are looking for people who are:
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
- Committed to the organisation.
- Willing to play an active role within the organisation.
- Willing to speak their mind.
- Happy to work as part of a team, supporting the student trustees
- Willing to participate in training.
- Able to commit between 6-8 hours per 10- week term.
This position will be voted upon in the March 2012 AGM

The Roots Foundation - 4 x Trustee Vacancies
The Roots Foundation Wales is a dynamic and forward looking organisation supporting young people in care, leaving care, kinship care and in need and vulnerable adults who have experience of the care system. We are currently recruiting new trustees to join our board to help shape the future of The Roots Foundation Wales. We are seeking to recruit four trustees to join our current board who guide the overall mission and the successful implementation of our current strategy. Candidates should have a range of skills and experience including an ability to voice an opinion on many different subjects. We are particularly keen to add direct experience of health and social care, the criminal justice system, media and fundraising and also communications to the Board's existing skills set.
So if you can dedicate 1-2 hours a month and you feel you can contribute positively to our organisation – We are inviting applications until: 31st March 2012
