Just when you thought Convergence funding would not be available to smaller organisations…………one to watch!
The Engagement Gateway is a European Convergence funded project managed by WCVA. It's aim is to reduce economic inactivity in Wales and improve the employability of disadvantaged people furthest from the labour market.
The Engagement Gateway will be delivered in Swansea by a partnership between SCVS and WCVA.
This is NOT a grant fund - it is a tendering process that will offer contracts for up to two years to organisations which are successful in applying to deliver eligible activities/outcomes to participants.
Whilst the outcomes of the contract will be defined by WCVA, organisations that are tendering can design the activities that best suit their client group.
Any organisation can tender for the Gateway contracts which will be offered at 3 levels:
Level 1 – will offer contracts of up to £25000 over a maximum two year period. Match funding, whilst not discouraged, is not a requirement at this level.
Level 2 – will offer contracts of £25000 - £75000 over a maximum two year period. An element of match funding is required at this level.
Level 3 – will offer contracts of £75000 - £150000. An element of match funding is required at this level.
As this is a tendering process organisations will have to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) and, if successful at this stage, they will then become part of a WCVA approved supplier list and will be directly invited to tender for appropriate contracts.
There will be support available for organisations to complete the PQQ from SCVS and WCVA and we will be offering accessible training in preparing tenders, briefing sessions and “meet the buyer” events.
Contact Ali Bond (ali_bond@scvs.org.uk Tel: 01792 544007) at SCVS if you would like to discuss any of this information.
The Gateway is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and European Structural Funds (European Social Funds).
