Funding surgeries

Funding surgeries provide the opportunity for you to gain feedback directly from the funders - this feedback often results in better quality applications and can save you a great deal of time. Appointments last up to 45 minutes and during this time you will get to work one-to-one with the funder on your proposal.

Booking is essential and places are first come, first served.

Previous surgeries have been held by funders including those mentioned below, Lloyds TSB Foundations and BIG Lottery - Awards for All, Heritage Lottery Fund and People and Places schemes. If you have any suggestions of funders you would like to meet then please let us know.

GwirVol Funding Briefing - Thursday 2nd May, 2pm

On Thursday 2^nd May, the GwirVol team shall be visiting SCVS to deliver a presentation on their Youth Volunteering Grants scheme for the financial year 2013 – 2014. There will only be one round during the year and the closing date will be 5th June 2013.

The aim of the GwirVol Youth Volunteering Grants scheme is to support the delivery of a wide range of new volunteering opportunities in Wales and overseas that will support the step change in access to volunteering for young people aged 14-25 and especially for disadvantaged young people.

The presentation shall begin at 2pm and be followed by an opportunity for organisations to discuss their ideas with the GwirVol officers and the SCVS development team. All organisations are welcome, whether they have applied for GwirVol funding before or not.

BIG Lottery Fund funding surgeries - Thursday 9th May

Officers from the BIG Lottery Fund shall be with us for a full day of free surgeries, providing the opportunity for your organisation to come along and find out more about their programmes and to discuss your potential projects.

Comic Relief

Following the announcement of the new grants strategy in Spring 2013, we shall be holding a day of funding surgeries for groups interested in applying to the new scheme.
