    Representation & Partnership

Since the advent of the National Assembly for Wales with its commitment to working in partnership with the voluntary, public and private sectors across all policy areas and at a national, regional and local level - the voluntary and community sector have been increasingly called upon to participate in multi-agency partnerships covering almost every imaginable issue.

One of the aims of SCVS is to provide a voice for our sector and represent it in the various partnerships and forums – nationally, regionally and locally – and a number of SCVS staff members are themselves representatives on a range of partnerships.]

    For more information, contact:

Ali Bond - Assistant Director Core Services (Support and Development) on 01792 544007 or email: ali_bond@scvs.org.uk

Amanda Carr - Assistant Director Core Services (Volunteering and Training) on 01792 543633 or email: amanda_carr@scvs.org.uk

However another important aim of SCVS is to facilitate the involvement of the broader voluntary and community sector in partnership activities. For example we facilitate the process of selecting and electing individuals to act as representatives on the various partnerships and forums, and we provide training in best practice in acting as a representative.
