There are lots of good things happening in Swansea. The challenge for the Community Plan is to co-ordinate the plans, strategies and services that affect Swansea, for the benefit of the people who live, work or spend time here.

The first Community Plan was launched in June 2004 with further updates produced in 2005, 2006 and 2007. The latest update is available to download from www.swanseasthirdsector.com or via the link below.

The Community Plan will show how everyone contributes to a better Swansea. This is the responsibility of all of us. This is Our Swansea.

The reason for this plan is to provide a practical tool that can help everyone to:

• Work together towards the same vision
• Meet the needs of communities, the economy and the environment
• Actively involve communities
• Give everyone a voice
• Make sure the important plans for Swansea all support each other

The plan has drawn on ideas from the public, from communities and from organisations across every aspect of Swansea life including the voluntary sector. Every year this guide will be reviewed and changed so there will continue to be opportunities to be involved.
