CYP Newsletter (quarterly)
We are hoping to put a Newsletter onto the CYP website at the end of September 2010 so if you have (maximum words: 200) pieces of information you would like to share across the partnership, including one photo please can you forward to either deborah.norman@swansea.gov.uk or lindsay.haywood@swansea.gov.uk, as soon as possible with a last date for receiving articles being 16th September to allow time for translation.
This month we are looking for articles that highlight:
- Reviews of the success of summer time activities for C&YP
- Changes in service provision
- Recognition of achievements by children, young people and their families
- Activities where C&YP have influenced decision making, especially in their communities
CYP Bulletin (fortnightly)
The CYPSU continues to produce an online fortnightly bulletin of information about children and young people and services including research and development, local and national events, conferences and courses, celebrations and achievements.
This bulletin is a regular brief update for Swansea CYP partnership partners and is a way of accessing communication from the CYP Partnership, other local partners as well as information we receive as a partnership from WAG.
If you would like to forward information for inclusion in the bulletin please forward brief information to stuart.page@swansea.gov.uk
- It is preferable that this information is forwarded as a brief commentary with a hyperlink to other larger documents or websites etc.
- Please ensure that you make the subject of your email to Stuart as “CYP bulletin” with a date if there is a short deadline.
- Please can you also highlight the information (if it is part of a larger email/document) you want to be in the bulletin in BLUE

Directory of Services for Children and Young People in Swansea
now available (see Resources) and it is hoped that the Directory will be available as a searchable, relational database in the future.

The partnerships are funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. Their vision is for a better start in life, good health, learning opportunity, safe play/leisure and com munity support. Most importantly their aim is for young people to be listened to and respected.
We pass relevant information on to local organisations working with 0-25s. We work with particular regard to the partnerships but present general news online, in newsletters and through email.
We have established a Children & Young People Third Sector Forum. The meetings have been very well attended and incredibly informative so far, in fact so successful it has been decided that they should take place every two months - Click here
