In September 2009 'Involve' began offering Open College Network (OCN) accreditation to our new volunteers. After successfully completing all the assessment criteria, nine new 'Involve' volunteers received the Volunteer Core Skills Unit accreditation (Level 2, Credit Value 6). Level Two is comparable to NVQ2 intermediate GNVQ and GCSE, and the module provides volunteers with a qualification at a nationally recognised level of study. Learners will receive an OCN certificate showing that they have met the assessment criteria.

'Involve' will be offering this opportunity to existing volunteers in the new academic year (from September 2010). If you are interested in completing this qualification in the 2010 / 2011 year, please give the office a ring or e-mail to register your interest with Danielle, or to find out more information. Please note that completing the accreditation will require attendance to the new OCN Induction training and completion of a work book.
