The Welsh Government and West Glamorgan Regional Partnership Board are hosting a free half-day event where you can find out more about how health and social care services in Wales are changing.

A Healthier Wales is the Welsh Government’s long-term plan to bring health and social care services together. Their aim is to move from an acute service to a wellness service, and move care from hospitals into our communities. The aim is for people to be able to stay closer to home and for as long as possible.

For this to happen, they need to think differently about how care and support services are delivered.

At these events you’ll hear from the Minister for Health and Social Services, senior leaders in health and social care, and local people who are already transforming the ways of delivering services throughout the West Glamorgan region and across other areas of Wales.

The event taking place in Swansea is as follows:

  • Thursday 24th October, 9.00 – 12.00, Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.

What is the aim of this event?

  • Inform cross sector regional teams about the aims of A Healthier Wales
  • Bring together providers of health and social care services to create a shared sense of ownership in the delivery of A Healthier Wales
  • Gather feedback about what this means for their ways of working
  • Show examples of where A Healthier Wales aims are already in practice.
