BAWSO LogoThe purpose of this conference is to learn more about good practices, and how to support survivors and girls at risk of FGM.

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) affects over 200 million women and girls worldwide. This issue is becoming increasingly relevant to health and social care providers in this country and therefore a good understanding of the practice is important. FGM is a form of child abuse and is against human rights.

BAWSO, in partnership with City & County Social Services, are inviting all practitioners from public and third sector organisations, members of the and individuals from practising communities to come learn more about good practices, and how to support survivors and girls at risk of FGM.
