Please note that there has been a change of dates to what was initially advertised - the course will now take place on October 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th November 5th, 19th, 26th Dec 3rd, 10th (assessments will take place on 3rd and 10th December, if you opt not to be assessed they will be normal learning days).

This 10 week course is an ideal introduction to British Sign language for those interested in learning. The unit 101 is the first unit of 3 to complete the level 1. This unit can be accredited as a standalone unit if the learner wishes to try it, or as an introduction to the Full level 1.

Cost: £80 per person, with an option to accredit for an additional fee of £20 if you wish.

The course will take place over 10 weeks on the following dates:

October 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th November 5th, 19th, 26th Dec 3rd, 10th (which will also be assessment dates or normal learning dates, depending on whether you want to be assessed).

Learning Objectives:

The course will cover the necessary information to cover the 101 unit of the level 1 course - this will cover alphabet, greetings, family, weather, transport and employment.

If learners wish to do the accreditation, they can do so at a cost of £20 per person. The accreditation is provided by Signature and the last date for registration is 20th August.

Please note that if you fail to attend or you provide less than 2 weeks' cancellation notice you will be charged the full amount. If you find that you are unable to attend, we do allow and encourage you to find someone to take your place on the course.
