Circus Eruption logoCircus Eruption have booked The Trials of Cato to play the Taliesin on 21st November.

They are a band that have burst on to the folk scene and have received critical acclaim, along with airplay on Radio 2 and 6 Music. They pay clear homage to the tradition whilst twisting old bones into something febrile and modern, with stomping tunes and captivating stories. Their debut album "Hide and Hair" has just won the Radio 2 Folk Awards gong for best album.

The show is a fundraiser for Circus Eruption, raising funds to help refurbish the former St Luke's church in Cwmbwrla. They have been really lucky to have charity lets in Parc Tawe and Llansamlet but these arrangements don't offer them much security and during a period of homelessness they started looking for a way to find a forever home. One very generous loan and a lot of research led Trials of Cato Picturethem to buying the church. It's a bit of a "fixer upper" so they're working hard to raise some money to enable them to move in.

Tickets are available here and are £13/£11 conc.
