Are you 16 - 30 ? Live in the Cwmtawe area of Swansea? Feeling isolated? Our group could help you! Join the new social and wellbeing group for people aged 16-30 who live in the Cwmtawe area of Swansea.

As some of you may know there isn’t a lot of support out there for specifically for young people in the Cwmtawe area, which is why this group was set up.

The group has been co-produced (created by young people for young people, with the support of Swansea Council for Voluntary Service) and those who join the group will have a say in what we do going forward.

Our main goal is to tackle isolation and offer social support to anyone who may need it. To join, you just need to be between the ages of 16 and 30, and registered with one of the following Doctors Surgeries in the Cwmtawe area: Strawberry Place, Clydach Medical Centre, Llansamlet Surgery, Sway Road or New Cross Surgery.

There are many reasons why you may feel isolated and benefit from social support and interaction with people your own age in our group, for example it may be because of long term illness or disability, mental health issues, a bereavement, that you are a young carer or parents, or identify as LGBT+; but you don’t have to fit into one of these categories or declare why you need support to join. If you want to bring someone with you such as a carer/support worker, you can.

The first meeting will take place at Forge Fach Cafe, Clydach, SA6 5BX on Wednesday, 23rd of January 2019, 11am - 1pm.

You don’t need to pre-book, just attend on the day.
