This fraud awareness session will detail the different frauds and economic crimes that are circulating at the moment. It will also provide you with advice and knowledge of how to protect yourself, and others, from becoming a victim of fraud.

Tarian is the Regional Organised Crime Unit for South Wales, they are from the economic crime unit that sits within Tarian.Tarian was established by the 3 police forces in South Wales, Dyfed-Powys Police, South Wales Police and Gwent Police. 

This session will benefit individuals of all ages, as fraud is a crime that affects every age group, however, it is further encouraged that individuals who work with the elderly, vulnerable and those who are isolated attend this session. It will provide you with an insight into the different types of economic crimes that we are seeing recently, and advice on how to protect yourself and the individuals that you work with. It will also outline the support that they can offer to organisations in order to help combat fraud in South Wales.

This course is free of charge but if you fail to attend or you provide less than two week's cancellation notice will be charged a fee of £20. If you find that you are unable to attend, we do allow and encourage you to find someone to take your place on the course.
