Swansea Council Logo 2017Swansea Council, supported by SCVS and the Golden Thread Advocacy Programme, will be holding an engagement event to shape the design and delivery of a new Independent Professional Advocacy Service as required within the Social Care and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014.

The service is being co-produced with people who have used or may need to use Independent Professional Advocacy and carers.

The event will provide an opportunity to suppliers to engage in discussion with a range of stakeholders to shape what good advocacy looks like and how a new model of independent professional advocacy could best be delivered to support people to have voice and control and to participate fully when the Local Authority is discharging its functions in relation to them.
