Mindfulness Awareness Day For anyone who has ever had the thought, “I’d like to try meditation one day”, Saturday 28th October 2017 is that day, as Dharmavajra Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Swansea, will be holding a special Mindfulness Awareness Day, from 11am to 3pm. Entrance to this event is free for all members of the public and will include four drop in taster meditation sessions at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm. Each drop in session will include a simple guided meditation and a short talk on how practising mindfulness in daily life can dramatically reduce our stress and improve our relationships with others. Refreshments and a selection of delicious home-made cakes, including vegan options, will be served free of charge for all to enjoy in between sessions. Dharmavajra Centre is a peaceful city sanctuary that has been established to provide people in Swansea and South Wales with the opportunity to learn about and practise Buddha’s teachings. These teachings are presented in an accessible manner that can be easily integrated into our modern lives, and are perfect for anyone seeking solutions to the problems of everyday life. The Centre’s year-round programme is open to everyone – Buddhists and non-Buddhists, complete beginners to advanced practitioners.
