Learning mindfulness helps us to recognise how some of our thinking patterns and the things we say to ourselves when we’re experiencing difficulty in life might actually be making us feel worse.

Mindfulness can help us with both our emotional suffering and physical pain. Learning mindfulness helps us to recognise how some of our thinking patterns and the things we say to ourselves when we’re experiencing difficulty in life might actually be making us feel worse. We learn skills for stepping back and seeing more clearly how we might respond to the inevitable challenges of life, including getting older and managing our health needs.

Results from lots of different research trials consistently show that learning mindfulness can significantly reduce the risk of experiencing mental ill health and can improve overall wellbeing. This taster session will introduce you to some simple mindfulness practices and provide you with information about what’s included in a full 8 week mindfulness course.

Course Objectives:

  • Experience a mindfulness practice and reflect on your learning
