Minute taking is an important skill which enables organistions to record decisions made in meetings and also to keep people informed.

Do you dread Minute Taking at meetings? Do you understand the point of accurate minutes and the different ways of taking them? This course guides you through the different styles that are used, providing you with tips, techniques, and simple methods (such as using the agenda to your advantage and how working with the Chair of the meeting can be beneficial to you) to give you the confidence you need to take concise minutes by discovering an easier process.

Course objectives:

  • Understand the purpose of minutes and their different styles.
  • Be clear about your role before, during and after the meeting.
  • Understand how to work with the chair of the meeting.
  • Be aware of how to use the agenda.
  • Be aware of good practices in taking minutes.
  • Have increased confidence in taking concise minutes.

Course Fees:

  • SCVS Members - Half Day Course - £10
  • Non SCVS Members / Individuals - Full Day Course - £75
