Voluntary and community organisations are expected to deliver high quality projects and services. It is important that people who manage and deliver projects have the skills and confidence to meet this challenge.

Cost: £20.

This course will enable people in the voluntary and community sector plan and deliver their projects with more confidence and skills. The course is split into two interactive online workshops and will introduce practical project management processes and techniques.

Workshop 1: 9.30am to 1pm with a 15 minute break

  1. To understand the stages in project development
  2. To appreciate how to write the project initiation document
  3. Be able to write project objectives, outputs, outcomes and targets
  4. To be able to plan your monitoring and evaluation framework

Workshop 2: 9.30am to 1pm with a 15 minute break

  1. To understand how to engage with project partners and stakeholders
  2. To know how to identify and analyse project risks and issues
  3. To be able to plan contingencies and mitigation measures
  4. To be able to plan succession and exit strategies
