Swansea Council Logo 2017This is an online workshop (Microsoft Teams) to enable multi agency partners to work alongside children, families and child & family social workers using the signs of safety methodology.

Applicants will need to provide an email address (please forward email address to [email protected]) in order to receive the course meeting link.  If place confirmed, then confirmation will be forwarded via email.

Attendees must have access to a device (computer / tablet) with access to a camera and microphone to enable participation.  NB: Your organisation does not need to subscribe to Microsoft Teams in order for you to be able to access the training.

Child & Family Services have been using the Signs of Safety practice framework as the methodology to their casework since 2011.

This workshop will help partner agencies:

  • To become familiar with the Signs of Safety methodology
  • Understand what this looks like in practice by looking at ‘mapping’, examples of danger statements, safety goals, scaling questions, direct work and words and pictures, and what this means for you in conferences, core groups and meetings about children and your on-going work with families
  • Strengthen their collaboration so we can achieve the best possible outcomes for children, families and communities.

It is suitable for anyone who works with children and families who have Swansea social services involvement in their lives.

NB: This is not a ‘Child Protection’ training course but a workshop to familiarise multi-agency partners with this model of working.
