Swansea Environmental Forum partner logo‘Working with Nature to improve health and wellbeing’ is a key objective in the Swansea Wellbeing Plan and this event provides a unique opportunity to inform, inspire and involve participants in helping shape the action plan to make real progress towards a greener and healthier future for Swansea.

This FREE event is aimed at decision-makers and practitioners across all public sector areas including health, education, community development, environment, etc. but also business and industry, community groups and individuals who are keen to make a positive difference for our communities and for future generations. They hope all PSB partners will be represented at the event by both senior decision-makers and practitioners.

Andrew Davies will chair the event and two leading figures in environmental change will be the keynote speakers...

Keynote speakers:

  • Paul Allen - Heads the Zero Carbon Britain project at The Centre for Alternative Technology
  • Gary Grant - Director of the Green Infrastructure Consultancy

As well as inspiring presentations, there will be facilitated workshop discussions on some of the most difficult to solve dilemmas we face today, such as how to improve air quality whilst most people want to use personal transport; how to facilitate economic regeneration and house building whilst protecting and enhancing biodiversity; how to satisfy the demand for energy whilst drastically cutting carbon emissions. They will seek ways to bust the barriers to change and forge new partnerships that bring multiple benefits for the environment, health, education, community safety, culture and the local economy.
