Stepping in to Management is a three-day management foundation programme, taking place on 6th, 13th and 20th July 2017, 9.30am - 4.30pm  

The programme will meet the needs of new voluntary sector managers and will be useful for team leaders in the public sector too. The course is aimed at staff who are new to management or staff who may want to progress into management roles in the future.

Course objectives:

  • Improve confidence and capability in their interpersonal communications.
  • Identify strategies to build and sustain a positive mental attitude at work.
  • Build motivation and trust within the team.
  • Get the best out of people
  • Set and manage performance expectations
  • Manage time and delegate effectively
  • Identify risk and build contingencies.
  • Work through change confidently.

Course Fees:

  • Full SCVS Members - Full Day Course - £20
  • Associate SCVS Members (3rd Sector organisations) - Full Day Course - £50
  • Non SCVS Members / Individuals - Full Day Course - £150

To ensure that the payment of fees is not a barrier to attending courses, we provide some places at minimal cost to individuals receiving benefit. Please contact the Training Team if you would like to apply for a bursary.
