So you want to be a community development worker?  What skills and knowledge do you need?  How should you behave?  Come join the discussion!

Part of Agored Cymru Accredited Unit EE33CY047.

When you look at the job description of a community development worker, it seems to cover everything!  So what do community development workers actually do, how might you go about gaining the skills and knowledge required, and what do agencies look for when advertising these positions?

This course is part of the Level 3 Agored Community Development Award, though this is a ‘stand-alone’ training course and you can attend just this day, if you prefer.

Course Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the competencies required of community development workers
  • Explain the knowledge and skills required for community development practitioners
  • Analyse the behaviours expected of community development practitioners

Course Fees:

  • SCVS Members - Full Day Course £20
  • Non SCVS Members / Individuals - Full Day Course £150

To ensure that the payment of fees is not a barrier to attending courses, we provide some places at reduced cost to individuals receiving benefit/out of county third sector organisations. Please contact the Training Team if you would like to apply for a bursary.
