Working in a group can mean you get things done that you could never accomplish on your own.  But, it can also bring conflict and take too much time.

This course will help you look at why people join groups and how to help them work together effectively as a team.

The course is part of a series of training courses which link to the Level 3 Agored Cymru Community Development Award – get in touch if you would like to find out more about accredited learning options.

Course objectives:

  • Analyse the different reasons why individuals become involved in community groups
  • Evaluate ways to involve people in community groups
  • Evaluate needs for the development and maintenance of community groups
  • Analyse the roles and responsibilities needed to work with community groups

Course Fees:

  • SCVS Members - Full Day Course £20
  • Non SCVS Members / Individuals - Full Day Course £150

To ensure that the payment of fees is not a barrier to attending courses, we provide some places at reduced cost to individuals receiving benefit/out of county third sector organisations. Please contact the Training Team if you would like to apply for a bursary.
