Over the last 6 months, organisations large and small, new and long established in Swansea, have worked tirelessly to support those affected by coronavirus and to counteract the difficulties caused by shielding and lockdown.

We’ve heard first hand of the huge difference the sector has made to thousands of people in Swansea, and while we know we are not at the end of the situation, we’d like to ask all groups to take 3 minutes to complete a simple survey to give us an idea of the scope of the interventions that have happened up to this point.

The third sector has been a critical source of support to countless people during this time. We know that third sector organisations deliver essential services effectively and efficiently for minimal resource. Now is the time to show the impact of this support, and make the case for a properly resourced sector now and into the future.

The results of this survey will be used to create an infographic which we can use to show the scale of support provided by third sector organisations in Swansea; and will be provisionally presented to the Council and other partners in October.

This survey has been suggested by the Compact Liaison Group, the group which oversees the third sector and the Council’s ‘Compact’ (set of ‘commitments’) to collaboration. The Group was re-established towards the end of 2019, and is now more critical than ever.

Having met last month for the first time since the crisis began, the group will be expanding; so on the survey you will find an optional section to complete if you would like more information about nominating yourself to join the group itself.

The survey will close on 30th September – please take a few minutes to help us evidence the scale of support provided so far by the third sector in Swansea during the coronavirus pandemic.
