Big Lottery logo - Sept 2017We are pleased to introduce the Big Lottery funded Link Up project which will launch officially in the New Year.

Link Up aims to pilot innovative approaches to bringing new skills and expertise to organisations in the third sector through mentoring and trustee recruitment and empower the third sector to plan for the future and overcome a difficult economic environment. SCVS will lead a new regional Link Up team based at SCVS, NPTCVS and BAVO working with the third sector across Swansea, Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot.

The project will strengthen governance and skills development across third sector organisations through the recruitment of skilled volunteer mentors and trustees; and will support corporate social responsibility actions across the region by linking the third sector with private, public and education sector partners and integrating the approach into local and regional strategy and policy aims.

Over the three years of the Project and across the region 150 mentors and new trustees will be identified and recruited and 120 third sector organisations will benefit from engagement in the project’s activities.
