Map of organisations serving Black, Asian and ethnic minority people in Wales As part of its work for Welsh Government, EYST Wales is putting together a directory/map of organisations which represent or serve ethnic minority people, individuals and communities in Wales. By ethnic minority, they mean people of Black or Asian descent, or any other ethnic minority heritage, including people from European countries outside the UK. They hope to create a comprehensive web-based map which includes community groups, ethnic minority led groups and organisations which provide services or programmes specifically for ethnic minority people and communities in Wales. The purpose of this map is to promote the work of organisations in Wales and connect people with organisations, as well as direct mainstream organisations to BME/Community groups. Their aim is that this will be an interactive, clickable map which could be hosted on EYST’s and potentially Welsh Government’s Website and linked to any other relevant organisations. The idea is that BME people on the ground could click on their area and the relevant services and contact information would pop up, thus improving their access to services near them. If you provide services for the BME community please take 5 minutes to provide this information via this simple survey, click here. The survey closes for responses on 31st October 2018. If you have any questions or would like to discuss further, please get in touch with [email protected] or phone 07903 074718.
