Mumbles Community Council - Community Plan Consultation Mumbles Community Council are undertaking a consultation to development a 10-year community plan for the area. Urban Foundry – A creative regeneration agency in Swansea City Centre have been commissioned by Mumbles Community Council to support the Council in developing a 10-year community plan for the area. As part of that work they are conducting research with a number of groups across the area. The aim of the project is to explore viewpoints about the key issues in the area, along with any suggestions for improvements. This includes communication with: Schools (staff & children); Business owners; Third sector organisations; Public bodies with an interest in/engagement in the area (e.g. the City Council); and Local residents (in the way of community groups e.g. older peoples groups, mother and baby/toddler groups) The primary research involves face-to-face discussions with people, either as a 1-2-1, or in small focus groups (e.g. members of a mother & toddler group responding together). Interviews and focus groups take the form of a series of broad questions, with no preparation necessary. Whilst they are listing the names of the organisations who provide them with information, the information provided is confidential – they will draw out key themes and present it. Individual residents do not need to provide their names or contact details and they can conduct interviews without disclosing names of organisations if you wish (please let them know in advance). In addition to the smaller number of focus groups and one to one interviews above, an e-survey will be issued shortly via the Community Council’s website. Hard copy versions will be left with the Council for anyone unable to access the internet to pick up and complete.
