Welsh Government logoThe relevant provisions of the Wales Act 2017 on electoral and registration matters are due to come into force in 2018. The Welsh Government is consulting on:

  • how democracy works in Wales
  • how people become eligible to vote
  • how they exercise their right to vote
  • how elections are organised.

To vote in elections you must be over 18. The Welsh Government wants to include 16 and 17 year olds too.**
