Swansea Council Logo 2017The Swansea Local Action Group (LAG) is seeking to appoint new members to join the LAG and help develop and implement its Local Development Strategy (LDS) as part of the RDP LEADER scheme in rural Swansea.

The Swansea LAG is made up of three representative groups, private, public and third sector. To ensure a well-balanced representation of interests, the group now seeks to appoint new members to join the existing membership.

To date the current LAG has developed and supported 11 rural community projects led by local individuals representing groups and organisations, with a number of others in the pipeline. With its support in terms of projects development, evaluation, pilot projects, feasibility studies and facilitation the LAG has helped many ideas become a reality.

Applications are invited from individuals wishing to join the LAG. Public sector membership will not exceed 50%, and no single interest will be allowed more than 49% of voting rights on the Partnership.

For details of the LAG work to date please refer to the Swansea LAG website. Here you will find additional details behind the LAG as well as the LDS, details of approved projects and and other useful information.

If you would like to apply to join the LAG, please complete the Expression of Interest form and return by the 31st January 2018 via [email protected]

If you wish for an informal discussion on any aspects of the above then please call Paul Jones (LAG secretariat) on 01792 636834 or email [email protected]
