The focus of this grant scheme is to provide a more effective use of funds by connecting regional and local health and wellbeing priorities, increase the consistency and quality of services provided by the Third Sector and to deliver positive wellbeing outcomes for people in communities.

This grant scheme incorporates the Changing for the Better grant scheme sponsored by Swansea Bay University Health Board and West Glamorgan ICF Third Sector Grant Scheme. The region covers the new Swansea Bay University Health Board/West Glamorgan Regional Partnership Board area which is Swansea and Neath Port Talbot only.

Small grants of up to £10,000 per year for individual organisations or projects covering one Local Authority area or up to £15,000 for organisations working across the whole region. Anything above these amounts will be treated as large grants.

The majority of funding available is for small grants with a small amount of large grant funding available following the March round. In the event of being oversubscribed, a waiting list will be created for any further funding which may become available to the schemes.

Projects must be completed by 31st March 2021, with all funds spent by this date. Please note, some of the funding is available for the 2019-2020 financial year only.

What types of costs can be supported?

The list below gives examples of what can be funded, although this is not exclusive:
