Involve 30th Birthday Celebration Nov17

At the end of November 2017 SCVS held its Annual General meeting, looking at our achievements and activity over the last financial year.

Members of SCVS and representatives of partner organisations also heard to a video message to the sector from Cllr Rob Stewart, leader of Swansea Council; and enjoyed presentations from a range of speakers including the Electoral Reform Society, the Llwchwr Patient and Carer Participation Group and Cllr Mary Sherwood, under the umbrella ‘Community Voices – Engaging with Citizens’, followed by an enlightening expert panel discussion.

At the event we also celebrated 30 years of the Involve Volunteering project, and said a fond farewell to longstanding SCVS Trustee, Christine Watson; who stood down from the Board after 20 years of dedicated service.

We were also delighted to be presented with the Silver Small Workplace Health Award from Public Health Wales - and look forward to working towards Gold status during 2018!
