Social Flag Project The Social Flag Project® is returning Swansea’s civic flagpole to regular use by flying flags promoting local charities, good causes, and social enterprises. They plan to fly a new flag representing a different group every month throughout the year! This pilot project is a collaboration between Swansea’s flag brand MrFlag® and City & County of Swansea in association with the South Wales Evening Post. How it Works: Local charities, good causes and social enterprises register on their website, giving contact and social media details, and providing a few paragraphs of information about their work in the area. The Social Flag Project® will select a charity, good cause, or social enterprise from this list. Details will then be announced on their website and across social media. Once confirmed, winning organisations will work with Swansea’s flag brand MrFlag® to create a unique flag design to represent their charity, good cause, or social enterprise. MrFlag® will then turn this design into a 10x5ft / 300x150cm flag (with rope and toggle fittings), suitable for flying from the Guildhall Rotunda flagpole – FREE OF CHARGE. Incidentally, although 10x5ft sounds really big – and it is when you’re holding it in your hand – it will look a LOT smaller once it has been hoisted 70ft / 21m into the air!
