For the third year in a row, St Mary’s Church Swansea have decided to hold a Christmas Tree Festival celebrating some of the organisations and churches in our city.

Some of you will have taken part in this Festival in the past couple of years, and St Mary’s have been delighted to welcome groups who have put up trees and many others who have come along to see them.

St Mary’s is in a perfect position at the heart of the City, and they invite your organisation to put up a tree this December.

The trees are to be put up on the 9th December and taken down on the 21st December, with the Church open from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day. They would also welcome school choirs to come and sing during the times it is open (if you are interested in doing that, please let them know).

Each participating organisation is responsible for providing and decorating a tree of any size. There will be no plug-in lights available, but they hope the trees will be decorated as colourfully and creatively as possible to represent in some way your particular organisation. In the past some have chosen to use battery lights.

You're also very welcome to display any literature about your organisation by the tree to promote your work, and you are welcome to ‘supervise’ the tree all, some, or none of the time, but the Church will be manned throughout the festival and seasonal refreshments will be served.

If you have any questions please let them know, and to take part, please email: [email protected] or [email protected] telling them:

  • Name of organisation
  • Contact name, address & tel no
  • Size of tree (If known)

If you’re unable to set up/take down the tree at the specified time, please let them know in the email too.
