Director of Operations

Location: Local Barod Office - to be confirmed on appointment.

Hours: Full time, 37 hours pw (incl some weekend/evening work during busy periods, eg. Events)

Salary: £46,750 - £52,520 per annum

Start: TBC / Duration: Permanent, in line with funding

With over 30 years’ experience, Barod is a proud partner within the DACW (Drug and Alcohol Charities Wales) consortium, providing holistic and therapeutic support to those affected by their own or someone else’s substance use.

Barod’s vision is to bring about positive and sustained change for individuals and communities in support of the aspirations and needs of those affected by their own and someone else’s drug or alcohol use, by offering opportunities aimed at minimising harm and maximising resilience.

The Director of Operations will provide support to the organisation and staff alike in the delivery of service contracts for all projects. They will ensure that Barod deliver quality services and evidence-based interventions for the people who use their services.

The Director of Operations will act as an Ambassador of the Organisation and represent the service to the wider community, including Local Health Boards, Welsh Government, and other Third Sector organisations and various other groups. This will include taking membership of any Area Planning Board and other strategic groups as appropriate.
