Barod - Engagement Worker Barod are looking to recruit an Engagement Worker to join the Swansea Bay Drug and Alcohol Service. Location: Swansea Type: Full time Hours: 37 hours per week with some evening and weekend work required Salary: £22,137 to £25,156 per annum Start: TBC Duration: Permanent, in line with funding The primary function of this role is to offer harm reduction advice, information and initial assessment at the earliest opportunity to improve the health and mental health of substance misusers and their families and carers who are not engaged in structured treatment. The post holder will help support entry into treatment provision and help raise awareness of the effects of substance misuse, local trends and health harms across Swansea Bay. They will also proactively raise awareness with those at risk of harmful and hazardous substance misuse, including the consequences of misuse and will also support a single point of contact system and carry out assessments and initial care planning.
