BikeAbility Wales Funding & Finance Officer

  • Location: BikeAbilty Wales venue (Dunvant Rugby Club, Swansea SA2 7RU), with flexibility for home working if preferred
  • Hours: 780 per year (based on 15 per week average) to be worked flexibly according to the needs of the charity and the post-holder
  • Salary: £25,000 (37.5 hours) pro rata: £10,000 – subject to regular review in line with the charity’s income and the changing demands of the role
  • Pension: Employer contribution to pension scheme
  • Contract: Following a 6-month probationary period, renewable at yearly intervals subject to performance and funding

The Role:

To support the manager in the smooth running of all aspects of fundraising & financial management. Working to ensure the development of fundraising opportunities and delivery of accurate monthly management and project accounts budgets.

This post requires a friendly, approachable, person-centered individual with excellent administrative, IT and communication skills, high levels of self-motivation and a flexible yet organised approach to their work.

Applicants must demonstrate experience in accessing funding and providing funding reports, with knowledge of financial management.

Relevant experience of working alongside clients of all abilities is highly desirable.

The successful applicant will require a DBS check which will be paid for by the charity. A driving license is desirable.

BikeAbility Wales Cycle Training & Technical Officer

  • Location: BikeAbilty Wales venue (Dunvant Rugby Club, Swansea, SA2 7RU)
  • Hours: 30 hours per week, with some flexibility and some weekend working
  • Salary £22,000 (37.5 hours) Pro rata
  • Pension: Employer contribution to pension scheme
  • Contract: Following a 6-month probationary period, renewable at yearly intervals subject to performance and funding

The role:

BikeAbility Wales is looking to appoint a caring, energetic, approachable Cycle Training & Technical Officer. The successful candidate will carry out a variety of tasks to enable people of all abilities to use both specialized and conventional cycles. Reporting to the Manager, the Cycle Training & Technical officer is also responsible for developing and implementing cycle training courses for children and adults in a range of settings, and keeping our equipment well maintained.

The successful applicant will require a DBS check, which will be paid for by the charity. A driving license and Welsh speaker is desirable. The nature of the position means that the post holder should have a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
