  • Hours: 35 per week
  • Salary: £24,000
  • Location: Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire

Caer Las have created two brand-new, exciting roles. As one of their specialist practitioners, you will be given full training, supervision and support to be able to provide an in-house, ‘solution focused (SF) practice service’ to clients who use their housing, homelessness and health projects in South Wales. As part of a small team you will develop the skills to hold structured, planned, face-to-face, SF sessions, with their clients.

‘Solution Focused Practice’ (SFP) is a method for working with people seeking change, where talking is the only tool available to you. You will be provided with membership of the United Kingdom Association for Solution Focused Practitioners [UKASFP] and supported to develop your practice to the national accreditation standard.

You will also be part of a high-profile research project at one of the UK’s leading universities.

Whilst no direct experience of therapeutic work is required, you will have highly developed listening skills, the ability to put clients at their ease, and the open-mindedness and aptitude to embrace a new way of working that requires discipline and attention to detail.
