Caer Las is a Swansea based charity that supports vulnerable people who are affected by rough sleeping, homelessness, mental health difficulties, sexual exploitation and other difficulties across Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Neath Port Talbot.

  • Hours: 35 per week

Senior Support Worker - PAXTON STREET HOSTEL (location: Swansea)

  • Salary: £21,500 per annum

The Paxton Street hostel provides short-to-medium term licenced accommodation for vulnerable, single homeless people age 18 and over in the Swansea area. They support people to meet their goals so that they can access appropriate accommodation in the community.

Support Worker – Community Houses (location 1: Swansea and NPT, location 2: Llanelli)

  • Salary: £18,000 per annum

The project supports clients in the community to become independent and sustain their accommodation in the future by providing support in their own homes / or in one of their shared housing projects. A key focus of the project is supporting people at imminent risk of losing their accommodation to take the necessary steps to prevent homelessness.

SUPPORT WORKER (OUTREACH) - FIXED TERM UNTIL MARCH 2019 (location: NPT)

  • Salary: £18,000 per annum

The project works with people directly on an individual basis to identify barriers that are stopping them access accommodation and works with them at their own speed to overcome them. This may include resolving relationship breakdown, addressing substance misuse issues and addiction, mental and physical health difficulties as well as accessing income and housing advice and support. The project also signposts and works in partnership with a range of different agencies and staff undertake outreach surgery work at a range of different locations.
