Citizen’s Advice Swansea Neath Port Talbot (CASNPT) aspire to have a diverse Trustee board that reflects the communities they work in. They are looking for people from all backgrounds and with a wide variety of skills and experience to become involved in leading the charity.

If you are keen to help them develop their services to meet the ever changing needs of our communities and to contribute in securing the vital resources needed to make a

difference to people’s lives, they would love to hear from you!

What can you offer?

CASNPT have reviewed the specific skills, experience and knowledge areas they are looking for from Board members, and these include:

  • Setting, reviewing and monitoring strategic priorities
  • Setting their vision
  • Contributing as a team player
  • Developing their equality and diversity –in policy and practice

They are particularly interested in hearing from people with the following skills and/or experience:

  • Legal knowledge;
  • Property Management;
  • Human Relations;
  • Change Management;
  • Technology Development

And it would be great if you could also bring:

  • Experience of working in the Third Sector in a paid or volunteer capacity;
  • An ability to lead on income stream generation;
  • A keen interest in developing into a leadership role (CASNPT will be looking for a new Chair next year)

You do not need experience of working or volunteering with Citizens Advice, but you will need to be available for 4/5 evening meetings a year plus other events such as training or strategic planning days and for their Annual General Meeting.
