  • Hours:  Part time/full time hours available (for specialist roles they expect a minimum of three days per week)
  • Salary:  SCP 10, £20,751 pro rata, per annum for trainee, increasing to SCP 12, £21,589 upon satisfactory completion of their adviser training programme. Specialists fully trained, SCP 19,  £24, 997 if this has not been completed. These rates are subject to a pending NJC uplift of 2.75%
  • Contract: 6 months initially, extended thereafter depending on funding arrangements
  • Location: Swansea office and outreach locations throughout Neath Port Talbot or Swansea or homeworking depending on current pandemic situation

    Job details:

    You will be required to advise clients face to face, by telephone or video link, should this be required. If home working is required you will be provided with the necessary equipment to carry out your role.

    You will be able to demonstrate excellent people and communication skills, with an ability to gather and interpret information to help clients navigate their difficulties. Ideally, you will also have experience of advice work at generalist or specialist levels, including working with Debt and Benefits. If not trainees will be considered.

    They work with a diverse range of clients requiring the ability to work under pressure whilst dealing confidently and sensitively with their client group and their partners. Suitable candidates will have a commitment to the aims and principles of the service.
