Citizens Advice Swansea Neath Port Talbot wishes to recruit talented people to the Board of Trustees to help them face the challenges of funding and service delivery and build on the success of the past 78 years.

They are particularly interested in hearing from people with the following skills and/or experience:

  • Marketing and presentation skills
  • An ability to contribute and influence at a strategic level
  • Experience of campaigning, lobbying and fundraising
  • A strong belief and commitment to the aims and values of the Citizens Advice service
  • An understanding of the funding climate within Wales
  • Available to give the necessary time to the role

It would be advantageous if someone was able to offer:

  • Experience of working in the third sector in a paid or volunteer capacity
  • Able to take the lead in income stream generation
  • To develop into a leadership (they currently have a Vice Chair vacancy) or Treasurer role

Trustee Board Meetings are generally held quarterly with additional meetings in respect to strategy building and the Annual General Meeting. The position of trustee is a voluntary position. However reasonable expenses can be reimbursed. Applicants need to complete a standard volunteer application form and provide 2 referees.

The closing date for applications is 20th October 2017.

Interviews will take place during October/November.

The successful candidates will be expected to take up post in October/November 2017.
